## Overview

Netstatic Solutions designs and operates the cloud infrastructure that applications run on. We help teams move from fragile, hand-configured servers to repeatable, secure and observable environments, whether that means a first production deployment or a migration of an existing system to the cloud.

We work primarily on AWS and are comfortable with containers, Kubernetes, serverless platforms and managed databases. Infrastructure is defined as code with tools such as Terraform, so environments can be reviewed, reproduced and changed safely instead of depending on manual console steps.

Cost and security are designed in, not added later. We size resources to real workloads, set up monitoring and alerting, apply least-privilege access and backup strategies, and document how everything runs, so your team understands and can confidently operate what we build.

## Capabilities

- **Cloud Architecture:** We design cloud architectures covering networking, compute, storage and identity, choosing managed services where they reduce operational burden and balancing resilience against cost for your workload.
- **Serverless Systems:** We build event-driven systems on AWS Lambda, API Gateway and managed queues, which scale with demand and remove most server management for suitable workloads.
- **Docker / Containers:** We containerise applications with Docker and run them on Kubernetes or managed container services, giving consistent environments from development to production and straightforward scaling.
- **CI/CD Pipelines:** We automate build, test, security checks and deployment using GitHub Actions or similar tools, enabling frequent, low-risk releases with easy rollback.
- **Database Scaling:** We tune and scale relational and NoSQL databases using indexing, read replicas, caching, partitioning and managed services, and plan backups, failover and safe migrations.
- **Security Ops:** We apply least-privilege access, secret management, network segmentation, logging and vulnerability scanning, designed to support your security policies and audit requirements.

## Benefits

- **Repeatable environments:** Infrastructure as code makes staging and production consistent and lets you rebuild or extend environments quickly.
- **Safer, faster releases:** Automated pipelines run tests and checks on every change, reducing manual steps and the risk of deployment mistakes.
- **Cost awareness:** Right-sizing, autoscaling and usage monitoring help avoid paying for idle capacity and surface unexpected spend early.
- **Visibility into production:** Metrics, logs, traces and alerts show how systems behave, so issues are found and fixed before users report them.

## Process

1. **Discovery and Infrastructure Audit:** We review current systems, traffic patterns, costs, risks and compliance needs, and agree on goals such as migration, reliability or cost reduction.
2. **Architecture and Security Design:** We design the target architecture, network layout, access model, backup and recovery approach, and define the infrastructure-as-code structure.
3. **Build and Migration:** We provision environments with Terraform, containerise workloads, set up pipelines, and migrate services and data in controlled stages with rollback options.
4. **Testing and Hardening:** We load test, verify backups and failover, scan for vulnerabilities, and tune monitoring and alerts before moving production traffic.
5. **Launch and Ongoing Operations:** We cut over with a runbook, provide documentation and training, and offer ongoing monitoring, patching and optimisation as support.

## Deliverables

- Cloud architecture diagrams and documentation
- Infrastructure as code repository
- Container images and orchestration configuration
- CI/CD pipelines
- Monitoring, logging and alerting dashboards
- Runbooks and backup and recovery plan

## Technology

- **Cloud Platforms:** AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Cloudflare, Vercel
- **Containers and Automation:** Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, CI/CD, GitHub Actions
- **Data and Observability:** PostgreSQL, Amazon RDS, Redis, Prometheus, Grafana

## Use cases

- **Migrating from a single server:** An application on one manually managed server is containerised and moved to a managed, load-balanced environment with automated deployments.
- **Event-driven backend:** Uploaded files trigger serverless functions that process data and write results to a database, scaling automatically with volume.
- **Kubernetes platform for microservices:** Multiple services run on Kubernetes with autoscaling, centralised logging and per-service pipelines for independent releases.
- **Database performance and scaling:** A slow, growing database is tuned and given read replicas and caching, with a tested backup and failover process.

## FAQ

**Which cloud provider should we choose?**

We mostly work on AWS, and also support Google Cloud and Azure. The best choice depends on your existing tools, team skills, data location needs and pricing for your workload. We compare options during discovery and avoid unnecessary lock-in where practical.

**Do we really need Kubernetes?**

Not always. Smaller applications often run well on managed container services or serverless platforms with less operational overhead. Kubernetes becomes worthwhile when you have many services, need fine-grained scaling or portability. We recommend the simplest option that meets your requirements.

**How do you reduce cloud costs?**

We review usage and right-size instances, remove idle resources, use autoscaling, choose suitable storage tiers and consider reserved or spot capacity where appropriate. We also set up budgets and cost alerts so spending changes are visible early.

**How do you handle downtime during migration?**

We plan migrations in stages, run the new environment in parallel, test thoroughly and cut over during an agreed window with a rollback plan. Depending on the architecture, database replication can keep downtime short, though some systems may still need a brief maintenance period.

**Can you support compliance requirements such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001?**

We design infrastructure with controls that help support such frameworks, including access management, logging, encryption and backups, and provide evidence-friendly documentation. Certification itself is a separate process carried out by your organisation with an accredited auditor.
